All Southern Gas Corridor pipeline projects, including TAP, presented their respective projects at the conference. Kjetil Tungland announced the recent news about E.ON Ruhrgas joining TAP and explained why TAP is the most favoured project to bringing Caspian gas to Europe. He discussed TAP’s key advantages, including: the shortest and the least expensive route, commercial viability, technical most advanced, ability to meet needs of producers, shippers and buyers and others.
TAP’s shareholders also presented at the conference and referred to TAP in their presentations by explaining its strategic importance for their companies.
Thomas Hesselbarth, Head of Gas Development / Strategic Projects at EGL, promoted TAP by saying that it “is the best way to ensure the interests of natural gas producers and consumers, as well as to increase the export potential of the Southern Corridor.”
