Statement from StatoilHydro regarding articles appearing in Greek media

15 aprile 2009

References made in articles on 14 April 2009, in the Greek media citing StatoilHydro’s apparent interest in the Poseidon project are incorrect.

StatoilHydro has not participated in the open season process of Poseidon and remains fully committed to its participation in the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) where StatoilHydro is a 50 per cent owner of the Joint Venture. StatoilHydro is currently working to further mature the project and has, via the TAP Joint Venture a good dialogue with the Greek authorities in the process related to permits related to building the TAP pipeline.

As the second largest supplier of gas to Europe, StatoilHydro has a strong competence in marketing of gas and a long history and in-depth experience and expertise in building gas value chains.
